Mum and Pop Come to Visit!

We had a wonderful day today! Mums and Pops (Chucks Parents) came to visit! The girls were so excited when I told them- I have to wait till the day of- or Lanie won't sleep!! We were excited to visit AND b/c it was Popsie birthday!!! Lanie and Lucie made him a HUGE card and we hung it on the front door to welcome them- he loved it! Lanie and Lucie both decorated a side and then got to show Mum and Pop what it was- that was too cute!!! We had a FULL day of prizes, visiting our property, My Fathers Pizza (always a must) Red Rocker X-Rated Chocolate Cake, ice cream and MORE!
Lanie and Lucie entertained us all morning and the day flew by! The girls squealed and danced as Mums pulled out Casper the ghost! Lucie favortie new toy- he dances to "Ghost Busters" she has played with it since they left! I LOVE IT!!! Lanie leaves it alone so it is nice that Lucie can have her own toy. Lanie is most excited about her Pumpkin Man- which we now have in the kitchen so she can personally dance with him. He was outside (he is a large wind sock) It was too funny!!!

Mums and Pops are so special to us and we love it when they come and visit!

Lucie Ann Pittman

Lucie is the baby of our family. Also hard to believe that she will be 2 on November 22 - yes she is a Thanksgiving Baby! She is a little fire cracker and she will keep you on your toes. She is such a joy and pleasure to be with and has made me realize that you can love more that one child- easily!!! I remember praying asking God to help me love this new baby as much I did Lanie- that prayer has definitely been answered!! Lucie is a joy! I love to go into her room when she is asleep (when I get home from my Southern Living Parties) and pick her up to "rock" it is the most wonderful feeling to have her in my arms! I cherish this special time when it works! Some times she says "MO" (which is No and at 2 is her most famous and used word ) and I leave her alone but sometimes she hears me coming a says "rock" - it makes my day!

She is saying many more words lately- has a hard time b/c her big sister always talks for her. She is so funny and makes us laugh all the time. So thankful for my second little blessing from above!! My Lucie!

Erin Lane Pittman "My Lanie"

Wow I can not belive that in a little over a month, my first baby will be turning 4 years old! Wow - where has the time gone!!! Seems just like yesterday we were telling all of you we were expecting!!! Lanie is such a joy to everyone she is touch with! She lights up the room when she walks in with her amazing blue eyes and beautiful smile. But the thing I love the most is how she loves EVERYONE and wants to make everyone smile! She is a gift from heaven above and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

She loves to play with her ponies and all the Disney princesses ~Belle of Beauty and the Beast is her absolute favorite- for now!! She loves to play dress up with Lucie and of course her cousin Kiah- they could do it for hours! Lanie and Lucie both attend the Mothers Morning Out Program at our church on Tuesday and Thursday. I love to go pick her up from class b/c of the reaction she gives me- she screams with glee and runs into me or should I say over me- usually with great force if you know my high energy Lanie ha ha! Lanie is a joy and brings tons of sunshine to our lives. My favortie is when she comes into our bedroom in the morning- smiling from ear to ear to wake us up! Now that is the DREAM alarm clock!!!!

October at the Pittman House

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be writing this first post! My sister Julie has given me the blogging bug and I am so exited!! She is the expert and I hope to learn from her. The main thing I would like to accomplish by "blogging" is to keep my family and friends up to date with our family!

October is here! I can't believe it. Granted it is still 80 degrees here in Black Mtn, we are loving the crisp, clean days. Everything just seems so clean and crisp outside. Even though it is hot! The leaves are getting ready to change and we are on the lookout for some trails to take the girls on.

Big news at the Pittman house- we have put our house on the market. Yes our wonderful home of almost 6 years is for sale. We have a contract on a BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING mountain top lot here in Black Mountain. It is in the Laurel Ridge subdivision. We will close on the lot mid November. I can not believe that we will be moving and building and all that comes with it. I am excited about getting a new house and having a BREATH TAKING views of Lake Burnette and the back of the Seven Sisters Mountains. I just still don't believe it is true. Somebody pinch me!!:) I had always wished as a little girl that one day these mountains would be my view- didnt think that it would happen in my 30's - The Lord is so good to us!!!

My sweet hubbie Chuck is the most excited! We found this piece of property while driving around town and up the mountain one day. Chuck got out and took a peak and the rest is history! Please, keep us in your prayers - I know many of you have been through this and know the challenges we are facing but also the great experiences that God has ahead for us! We will keep you informed!! Here is a peak of our soon to be view! I can't wait to have you over for a cook out on our deck!!!
