BIG NEWS ~

Have you heard the news???  I am OFFICIAL now!  So excited and blessed to be the FIRST CONSULTANT in Asheville, NC for Biltmore Inspirations.  A BRAND NEW party plan company with Americas largest home, Biltmore Estate here in ASHEVILLE!  WAHOO!!



I am thrilled to be a part of the Biltmore family!  I am currently building a NATIONWIDE launch team of consultants!!!   We will start our parties July 1, 2011!  So excited to say that my wonderful "SISTERS CHIC" team is already in 8 states!!  NC, SC, MS, MA, CA, AL, FL, KY!  We have a great group of women who are ready to share the amazing "exclusive" product line of our Biltmore products.  This is a ground floor opportunity and I am LOVING sharing this BIG, HUGE, BILTMORE SIZE GIFT with women all over the US!!!! 

Between now and July 1st, as I build my launch team, I am going to ask you, “WHO DO YOU KNOW?” Maybe YOU are looking for a new business… or maybe you are not. It's been a long time

Well I am BACK!  Yep I know you are so excited and can't wait to hear what we have been up to!  I am so excited about this week!  It is a BIG week in the Pittman house BUT I have to wait till Friday to tell you what's going on!!!  So you will have to make a point to check back with me because believe me, you will want to know the BIG NEWS!  So till then, have a blessed week!

July is almost GONE!

WOW! I can't believe that I am sitting here and it is July 29th! Summer is coming to a close and I am VERY SAD! We have had a great one! I have so enjoyed going to the beach, the lake, Pinehurst, Lake Lure, Milwaukee and BLACK MOUNTAIN!

My favorite has to be the beach with my BIG family! Thank you Granddaddy and Mimi for spoiling us and taking us again!!! Time with all my siblings and the kids and my parents is just priceless!!! Enjoy these photos- SO FUN!!!! Wish I knew how to get the on here straight!!! :)

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!

I am loving all the work we have done to our beautiful home in the past month. As you know, we had it up for sale for over 2 years and when you are in that "mode" you don't do "projects". Now not to say we didn't keep it clean b/c WE DID! But you don't paint, or add a deck, or do much yard work (only to get you buy) SO.... now that it is ALL OURS, we have been pretty busy around the Pittman House!!!

We have added a 16x16 SWEET deck that connects the back deck to the driveway and MAN DOES IT MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! We have LOVED every minute we get to spend out there. The table has been moved to the larger deck, all my flowers in my containers look SO NICE. We even changed out the pickets to black iron ones on the old back deck and the front one. So it looks like a new face lift for our house. WAHOO!!! Looking forward to many more cookouts and hang outs soon!

We also planted 10 new shrubs and mulched. Here is the mulch story. First lets remember I am a "get it done girl" and seem to lack the word "patience" in my vocabulary. My poor hubby gets hit by this quite often. My thoughts are to get it done ASAP, now, or wish it was done yesterday. I am cursed!!! :) So we have been wanting to get mulch but have had to wait b/c of going out of town or just being busy. We had planned to order the mulch on Thursday and then work on it over the weekend. Long story short... Glenn and Tara (our special college friends) called and they were able to come up for the weekend w/ their two kids. We have been trying to get a weekend with them so we were thrilled to have them up. BUT WAIT WHAT ABOUT THE MULCH. Somehow I talked Chuck into it. So we went crazy and still orderd 20 yards (a WHOLE DUMP TRUCK) of mulch on Thursday at 4 pm and my AMAZING HUSBAND (and me) had it all spread by 2 pm on Friday. We worked our booties off to say the least!!!!!!!! IT WAS SO HOT!! We were both a little SORE on Saturday! But WOW does it look good!!! I love it!! Looks so new, fresh and I don't even mind the smell!!! I love the look of fresh mulch.

So we broke the new deck in VERY LATE EACH night hanging out and having fun! Yummy steaks from the Artisan and Margaritas and Mojitos. We also shared the Happy Skipper w/ them and they shared their Dr Pepper/ Captain drink. YUMMY! It is so fun to get together with old friends and remember all the fun and silly things we used to do.

Saturday was a fun day on the parkway! We went to Craggy Gardens. Glenn and Chuck took Lucie and Tyler (both 4 years old) in the jeep!!! They loved it and Tara, Lanie, Reid and me rode up in the Tahoe. Then we switched places on the way home!! FUN FUN. We grilled out hot dogs, hiked, picked blueberries and enjoyed watching our kids play together. THEN we had a babysitter come and we headed out for a DATE NIGHT! Grove Park for the scenery and drinks and appetizers. I always forget how beautiful the view is from the Grove Park! I am always in awe of the beautiful hotel and love to imagine how the people felt when they were guests there. I am sure they felt special like I do and I am just "visiting" not staying there. We are really blessed to be able to visit all the cool Asheville tourist spots. Next we went to Red Stag for dinner! The food was AMAZING but the ATMOSPHERE is my favorite!!!! So different, so cool and just SPECIAL!!

Sunday was church, rest, and then some family time up in Montreat. Girls played while Chuck and I played a little Tennis. I am determined to learn that sport. It is much harder than it looks but I am determined. We stayed out late and then headed to My Fathers for pizza. We were thrilled that there was NO WAIT and we got right in. I guess everyone else had their dinner before 8:45 that night! HA HA! Oh well we will sleep when we are dead!

So the weekend was a fun time!! Great friends, food, and FUN!! I am so blessed!!!!

Jumping up and down for JOY at the beach!! Isn't this too cool!!!

The BIG Bartlett Beach TRIP! 2010

Wow! We got to go AGAIN! How blessed I feel to get to go to the BEAUTIFUL beach AND w/ my family!!! Granddaddy and Mimi surprised us at Christmas with the most beautiful beach house in North Topsail Island (north of Wilmington)! SO I have had it to look forward to since December. Remember the winter we had here in WNC! It was very, very SNOWY! So me and the girls have been dreaming about June for months!!

We had a great time. On Saturday, Jonathan and Beth road down with us. Chuck got to take his new baby to the beach and boy did we enjoy it!! He and JB drove it till lunch and then Beth and I took it the rest of the way! It was VERY FUN but VERY HOT RIDE!! We enjoyed the jeep so much at the beach. Chuck never complained of "running to the store" and I loved driving it in the sand! He even took the kids 4wheeling!

Mimi and Grandaddy, Chuck, myself and the girls, Lorie and Kiah came in from Boone, Leslie came in from California (Uncle Paul had to work), Julie and her 3 kids (Uncle Seth had to work), Jonathan and Beth (both freshly graduated). My sweet friend Sandy came by to visit on Sunday and Aunt Teresa came on Thursday for a night! We had a great time and lots of fun and YUMMY food!!

We spent lots of time in the pool this year! I thought that it was a nice addition in December but WOW it was AWESOME! Lanie is now a SWIMMER!!! All the kids improved on their swimming skills!! We had lots of diving contests, cannon balls, water balloons fights (Chuck you did hurt me from the 3rd floor), water guns, and just plain FUN!!!

Jonathan and Beth dug their FAMOUS hole AGAIN this year! It keeps the kids BUSY and HAPPY for hours. They love to be in it and Lucie and Annabelle love to play in it and decorate it w/ shells!! We did get a few complaints from the turtle people. A lady knocked on our door at 1030 one night to tell us to fill in our hole or the turtle people would FINE us! Crazy huh!!!

Each evening was super special time for the Adults- we put the kids to bed (they were beat) and then it was time for a SPECIAL meal each night JUST FOR ALL OF US! We had yummy, yummy dishes! My favorites were.... shrimp and scallops, shrimp ceviche, crab cakes (2 times) crab dip, moms yummy spaghetti, fresh caught crabs, shrimp, Beth's yummy to die for brownies and SO MUCH MORE! Yes we ate like Kings and Queens! We also had lots of Foosball games. (Chuck and Jonathan brought the table UPSTAIRS- so we could play while the kids slept) we played cards, hung out and just had a great time together! I loved this special time w/ my siblings! We are blessed to be as close as we are! It amazes me how we are all pretty much still the same as we were when we were little. Just all a little wiser!!! :-)

The kids are SO fun to watch at the beach! They all adore each other. It is so fun to watch them in action! Amazes me how they all have their "roles." We have 3 first born who must take turns being the "leader." They enjoy each other so much! I must say Lucie and Annabelle are the most fun to watch. Maybe it is b/c they are the youngest and cutest. I felt like I was constantly taking photos of these 2 - mainly b/c i know they are growing so fast and I wish I had more photos of Caleb, Kiah, Adam and Lanie at the age of 3 and 4! I feel blessed that our kids get along. NOW don't get me wrong, they do fight and get in trouble with each other. BUT it is also nice that my sisters and I are on the same page when it comes to disciplining our kids. That makes it nice!!

I must say this trip was probably my most favorite. I don't know exactly why though. I think it is because I am getting older and I do cherish each and every minute with my little family and my big family. I feel incredibly blessed to know that God loves us, and that he sent his son to die on the cross for us. What an amazing blessing!!! I also cherish our time together more- especially since now with Boo on the West coast, and Lorie up in Boone, we don't get to spend that much time together!!! I realize that the little stuff doesn't really matter. I have chilled a little in my old age! I am not as uptight as I used to be at least I am striving for that MORE EACH DAY! I loving being with my family!!! We are a crazy group with lots of different personalities and features. I do have one thing, there is NEVER a dull moment when we are together!!!

So Mimi and Granddaddy, THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING BEACH WEEK! I will remember this memory FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just HAVE to DO THIS!!!

Ok I need someone to hold me accountable to BLOG! I just don't feel I have the skills BUT I MUST DO THIS! I want to look back on it in 10 years and cry my eyes out. So I am challenging myself to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

So where did I leave off? I have no clue? I am scared to look back and see! So let me catch you up REAL QUICK! Lanie is now 6 1/2 and Lucie is 4 1/2 they are getting SO BIG!!! I can't believe that it is June 14th!

We just returned from the beach w/ my family! It was AMAZING and OVER THE TOP!!! I will be posting some great photos! We had an AWESOME time! Granddaddy and Mimi treated us to an AMAZING vacation in North Topsail Beach. We had a PHAT house!!! As Lanie said, "WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN BEDS" we even had 2 extra futons. We enjoyed a week with Granddaddy, Mimi, Aunt Julie, Caleb, Adam, Annabelle, Aunt Lorie, Kiah, Aunt Leslie (all the way from CALIFORINA) Uncle Jonathan, Sweet Beth and of course me, Chuck, Lanie and Lucie! Aunt Teresa and Sandy came for a quick visit too!! So we had lots of folks and lots of fun! More details later!!!

As some of you know, we have had our house on the market for a LONG time. We purchased a BREATH TAKING lot on top of Laurel Ridge back in 2007. Well long story short, on May 4th, we sold our beautiful lot and took our house OFF THE MARKET! It was just not what God had planned for us. For a while, we were quite sad BUT God really worked in our hearts and showed Chuck and me that it was just not where he wanted us. We feel really blessed that the lot did sell and that we came out of the situation on top. We love 235 Woodland Court and are really excited to stay RIGHT HERE. Thanks for all your prayers and love during this time. It was fun to dream about the thought of living on top of a mountain- with a view of the Burnette Resivor and the Seven Sisters BUT I think we should wait a FEW YEARS to make that happen! ONE DAY- I hope to have a view of the Seven Sisters from my deck. But not right now :) God is so good! He always has plans for us and it has been cool to see him work. I have learned a ton and trust him more than EVER. I was sick last week and I layed in the bed thinking OK we are staying- what can I do around here!!! We had taken down a lot of our photos and changed some stuff around - So poor Chuck- I have a nice list of things to do around here! So stay tuned to see what happens!!

NOVEMBER 2008

Wow time flys! I cna't believe it is 2008 and NOVEMBER - almost 2009 - EEEK! Where does the time go? My girls are growing like crazy- hope you have been able to keep up w/ us on Julies blog. Sorry for my absence! Been a busy lady and I LOVE FaceBook! You should try it fi you havent- I have reconnected with some great friends!

OK so Lanie is going to be 5 on Wednesday- the 19th - can you believe it??? My sweet baby is now a big girl AND is SO TALL! I know she will be taller than me- she is such a sweet heart! She is into all sorts of things- Loves to draw, color and on the verge of reading!!! She is a big help here at home, keep me on my feet w/ what time it is AND planning our day and week- She cracks me up. It will be 12 in the afternoon adn she wantst o know what we are doing tomorrow. I beg her to help me get through the day. She played soccer this fall and was a SUPERSTAR!! Can you believe it- she was AMAZING- she blew me and Chuck away- she loved it and we loved watching her and hearing what she thought about each game. It was really neat to see her out there- she was SO determined and AGGRESSIVE- where did she get that - ha ha? She loves to play w/ her cousins and she and Lucie are becoming the BEST of friends. OH and guess what she and Lucie got for their birthday present? A DOG--

That's right we have a DOG! Me the clean freak, not so crazy about animales girl- has a DOG and a cute dog she is. Her name is Sophie and she is a chocolate lab. Now I do not like her peeing and pooping in my kitchen- BUT I do love to watch my girls love on her and look forward to her keeping the bears away one day when we move to our property in Laurel Ridge- Sophie is an amazing little puppie and I dont have to get up w/ her during the night- CHuck does- he is amazing w/ her and I am learning. She has stolen all of our hearts!!!

So lets talk about Lucie- WOW she will be 3 on this Saturday- Yep that's right 2 birthdays in 3 days- CRAZY HUH! Good planning though ! Lucie is going to be 3 my baby is no longer a baby- she wears big girl panties, loves to play My Little Ponies w/ Lanie and loves to be read to- she also loves to clean up- yep she is a little cleaner- makes me laugh- she does not like a "mess" she will say mess momma, this is a mess. My mom came over to get some clippings from our Cypress tree and was making a pile- well we looked up adn the clippings were gone, Lucie had thrown them over the bank- she thought it was a mess. SO you have to stay on your toes with her. She has the cutest smile, we call her Lucie Goosie, Curly Locks and Luca, she is super sweet and makes a great friend/big sister to her cousin Annabelle. See Julies latest post- it is super sweet and so true. Lucie is busy busy too and keeps us on a routine- she likes a routine- dont make her miss her nap or you will pay for it for a day or two!!! She also loves to sing- today in church she was so cute singing the praise songs- of course I was tearing up!

I am still partying with Southern Living at Home!!!! I have a crazy week- 3 parties and then 2 next week and on the same date- Oh and one is at my house. CRAZY PLUS a Birthday Party on Saturday- a vendor show at the church on Saturday- ok I can't think about all of this- I better get up and get to work- Whew you better say a prayer for me!!! :) Dont worry I will get it all done-always do right!!!!

Playing in the creek

We had an AMAZING day today! We walked to Cheshire park down below our house and HAD A WONDERFUL AFTERNOON! We started off w/ a hot dog picnic and then ended up playing in the creek the rest of the time! The girls were so good and had a blast- Chuck joined us after he finished some work and we just enjoyed watching our girls play and get "DIRTY"!! They were to funny! They were throwing rocks and falling in the water and squealing and laughing! They really enjoyed it!! Check out Lucies shades!! SHe was so funny w/ them!!! Notice they were upside down.

We have an amazing camera that we invested in when Lucie was born- today we tried out the other lens- we just kept forgetting! IT WAS AMAZING!!! WOW!! I want to take more photos!!

I am such a blessed girl!! God is so good to us! We are so blessed! Get outside and enjoy this wonderful weather!!! We sure did!!!

Ok so I have taken a LONG break from BLOGGING! SO SORRY!! My sister Julie get on to me daily about this! I am so sorry BUT i just didn't get it done! Pretty sorry- I could make a huge list of excuses BUT I won't -just don't have the time! We had a fun filled day with lots of family time, food, and TONS of fun!! It was a wonderful day! Uncle Mike and Aunt Gale really know how to take care of every little detail. Their home is in Danville Va and was so nice and they made each of us feel right at home. The food was AMAZING AND LOTS OF IT and we just really had a great day! Lanie and Lucie were angels!

We celebrated this special holiday. Our first without our beloved and SO special Pa Pa- (Chucks grandfather) He was VERY missed and we did a special thing of going around and saying special things about him. He was a wonderful Godly man and always had kind words and a BEAUTIFUL smile and BIG hugs! We missed him saying the blessing and so Lanie and Lucie took the job- it was sweet! Pa Pa will always be missed- he makes me smile still thinking of him at the family gatherings. I loved him from the first time I met him!!! So thankful to know him and for my girls to have know him!!

I LOVED IT!!! Chuck and I took it for a spin and guess what- we got LOST- Uncle Mike saved us!!! We got a tour of Danville- such a cute town with great houses and yards!

We will celebrate Bartlett Thanksgiving this weekend- it is totally different mainly b/c the majority of the people are 6 and under! Ha ha! Stay tuned for PHOTOS!

Thanksgiving is a special time and each year I feel I grow MORE thankful for my family. I am so blessed with Chucks family, my family, our wonderful church family and all our friends! God is so good and it amazes me how he loves each of us and takes care of us! Thank you Lord for ALL you do! Your love amazes me each day!!

THE BIRTHDAY PARTY--

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH EVERYONE WHO CAME TO THE BDAY PARTY! Chuck had been to a birthday party for some friends of ours a while back at the High Flight Gymnastic Gym in Asheville- he was SOLD- and I am so glad he had the idea b/c it really was quite perfect! The kids had a blast AND SO DID THE ADULTS!!! We had big people in the foam pit and little people in the foam pit! Big people on the trampoline and little people! It was SO MUCH fun to watch the parents and friends interact with the little ones!!! Everyone was grinning from ear to ear!! You should have seen well - check out all the RED faces- Especially Lanies!!!

Lanie and Lucie were both in Heaven! They had both sets of their Grandparents there-which in case you don't know, THEY ARE CRAZY ABOUT! They also had all 4 of their cousins, Aunt Lorie and Justin, Aunt Julie, Uncle Jb and Beth and SO MANY WONDERFUL FRIENDS! It was QUITE the party!

We had Pizza for lunch and I have never seen kids eat pizza or leave a plate of pizza SO FAST! All they wanted to do was PLAY!!!! Then we ate cake- same thing - they just wanted to PLAY- do you blame them? Our Pink cakes turned out great- they were yummy as well! I was quite surprised!!!

We had the WHOLE Gym to play in- well except for the hanging rings and tall balance beams- and poor Uncle JB and Aunt Julie- that is all they wanted to do!! You should of seen them trying to sneak on these- too funny! The kids also LOVED the parachute-it was my favorite- we had all the kids sit in the middle- when the hostess was telling me what we were going to do I was like "WHAT" I didn't think it would work- BUT all the little ones sat in the middle in a circle and then the adults held onto the chute and ran in a big circle and pulled it with us- IT WAS SO FUN! Then we switched directions- and ran the other way! Too fun- we also did other tricks- too fun!!!

Another fun thing was the rope swing- this was fun for Chuck and so many other big people and the kids- I love the photo of our Pastor Jeff was rolling in the big wheel and his son Joseph was pushing him! The the fun photo of Mark Whipple and ALL the kids jumping on him in the foam pit! So much fun! He is a pastor at our church too- can you tell we have GREAT people at our church!!!

We are very blessed to have so many great friends that came out to celebrate our girls special day! Thank you to all that came and we missed those that couldn't come!! WE here at the Pittman house wish all of you a very special Thanksgiving Holiday- we are so thankful for you!! Hugs! Amie

Making the Cake

I had so much fun this year making the girls "pink" cakes! Aunt Lorie and Kiah bought them each "My Little Ponies" to put on their cakes! They turned out very Pink and Pretty!!! "Blush and Bashful" would be pretty close! Lanie and Lucie helped me all the way! Check out the photos!

Lanie's Dance Recital

WOW! What an amazing, fun and SPECIAL night we had!! Lanie had her first DANCE RECITAL!!! Now let me tell you - I was quite nervous for her b/c she is the youngest and this was her first "class" of anything! We were getting ready and I was going to put her hair in a bun- I was quite excited and she quickly said- "Oh No Mommy- Mrs Pierce will put my hair in a bun." Quite shocked but I just loved to see how much she adored my sweet friend, Kim!!! Cousin Kiah was also in the class- Lanie adores her Kiah!!!

It was amazing for me to see how much she had IMPROVED over a months time ( I went to see her practice about 4 weeks prior to the recital) I was really impressed and you know me, cried most of the evening. Thinking "Wow Lord, that is my sweet baby girl out there dancing and following instructions" She was amazing, the class was amazing, it was filled with aobut 15 sweet little girls- "dancing" I was truly in heaven watching them. Their teacher is one of my most favorite people in the world. Kim Pierce, mom of 6 to whom she homeschools each! She has been a friend, and a mentor and THERE FOR ME while I was learning to be a mom. What a great example she is for me AND for all those little girls AND SHE IS AN AMAZING DANCER and TEACHER!!! Thanks Kim for all you did to make my Lanie feel like a princess for the evening!!!

BIRTHDAY PARTY

I can not belive that my girls will be 2 and 4! Where has the time gone??? Seems like yesterday that I had just found out that we were EXPECTING LANIE!!!!!!!!!!! Time has flown by and it makes me want to DROP EVERYTHING and just focus on them!!! Wish I could right! Lanie and Lucie are very excited about their bday party! Lanie wants to invite EVERYONE! I sure hope there is a ton of room at the High Flight Gymnastics place!!! Stay tuned for photos!!!

Just to fill you in on what the girls are into these days.... Lanie is really starting to want to write her letters and draw more. She is very close to writing her name. She loves to play w/ her "my little ponies" and of course Disney princesses and DRESS UP!! She is so sweet and so BUSY!!! She can NOT sit still!! Poor thing - must take after her Mama! I laugh when she watches TV- she is all over the place. Lucie is changing SO MUCH! Starting to talk and is just such a sweetie! We even think she has GROWN some!! WAHOO! She is a little fire cracker- is singing songs, loves to say the blessing with Lanie, play with Lanie, LOVES baby dolls! She is big into the kitchen set we have in the playroom and would sit and listen to tons of books- but NEVER really watches TV! She repeats the last word you say to her - so if I said Lucie do you want to go to bed - she'd say MO! No really if I said- Lets go outside- she'd say - "outside" She is much slower to talk but I think it is b/c she can't get a word in with Lanie!! :)

They are both changing so much and I am trying to keep you updated!! God is so amazing in so many BIG and LITTLE ways! It is so wonderful to see his work in PROCESS!!!

Play date

We had a very "last minute" play date/bday party for Sutton yesterday! Tracy and Kylie (2yrs) drove up from Gastonia for her last trip before baby Sam joins us (due in December) and Gretchen and Sutton joined us for lunch and fun play time!! We had wonderful weather and lots of fun on the swing set and tricycles! Sittpn turned 2 so we had chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles. You should have seen the icing all over the kids- and us! So blessed to have such wonderful friends!!!
